Surgical Faculty

Harvey W. Allen, DDS, MSD

Dr. Allen received his DDS and MSD from Baylor University in Dallas, TX. He continued his Oral Surgery Training at Baylor University Medical Center, Bexar County Hospital in San Antonio, TX and Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD where he was Chief Resident. Dr. Allen is a Life Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a Diplomat of the American Board of OMS, and a Fellow of the International AOMS, American College of OMFS and International College of Implantologists. He has been in private practice since 1966.

George Beck, DDS

Dr. Beck received his DDS from Creighton University. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Beck has been in private practice with emphasis on dental implants for the past 30 years in Pueblo, CO.

Stephen Caldwell, BS, DDS

Dr. Caldwell received his BS at the University of Texas at El Paso, DDS and Certificate of Periodontics from the University of Texas . He is a fellow of the American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists and Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Caldwell serves on the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners Anesthesia Committee and has been in private practice limited to periodontics with emphasis on dental implants for over 20 years in El Paso, TX.

Walter E. Dimmitt, DDS

Dr. Dimmitt received his DDS and Certificate in Graduate Periodontics from the University of Missouri. He is past President of the Missouri Society of Periodontists, a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and Diplomate of the American Society of Osseointegration. Dr. Dimmitt was formerly Clinical Director of Graduate Periodontics and Director of the Implant Institute at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. He also served as Director of Dental Services for the Ministry of Health in the United Arab Emirates prior to private practice in Periodontics and Implantology in Port Huron, Michigan.

Jay Friedman, DDS

Dr. Friedman received his DDS at the State University of New York at Buffalo and a Certificate in Prosthodontics at the University of Southern California . He is a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He maintains a private practiced limited to prosthodontics and implant dentistry in Encino, CA and Woodbury, NY.

John Hoar, DMD

Dr. Hoar received his BS from the University of Mississippi, and his DMD from the University of Alabama . He is a diplomat of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and American Board of Oral Implantology/ Implant Dentistry, and past Associate Professor of Clinical Dentistry at the University of Alabama at Huntsville, AL. Dr. Hoar maintains a private practice with emphasis on dental implants in Huntsville, AL .

Paul Homoly, DDS

Dr. Homoly received his DDS from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry. He practiced restorative dentistry for 20 years in Charlotte, NC. He retired from practice 9 years ago to pursue a career in training, coaching, and consulting dentists. Dr. Homoly is a columnist in Dental Economics Magazine and is the author of two books and numerous articles in dental journals worldwide.

Glen Jividen, BS, DDS

Dr. Jividen received a DDS from Ohio State University and completed his specialty certificate in periodontics at the University of Kentucky. He is a diplomat of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists,and Board Certified at the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry. Dr. Jividen is currently the President of the Ohio Academy of Periodontists. He maintains a private practice in Dayton , OH limited to periodontics and implants.

Francine Misch-Dietsh, DDS, DCD, MDS, FICD

Dr. Misch-Dietsh received a DCD at the University of Nice, France, her DDS at the University of Detroit Mercy, a Certificate of Prosthodontics, Certificate of Oral Implantology, and MDS from the University of Pittsburgh , PA. She is a fellow of the International College of Dentists, American Academy of Implant Dentistry , a diplomat of the International College of Oral Implantologists and American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry and serves on the faculty at Temple University. Dr. Misch-Dietsh is a past editor of the International Magazine of Oral Implantology. She maintains a private practice limited to implants with Dr. Carl E. Misch in Beverly Hills, MI and in Rome, Italy .

Thomas E. Rams, DDS, MHS

Dr. Rams received his BS in Environment Health from George Washington University, his MHS from John Hopkins University, School of Public Health and his DDS from the Univeristy of Maryland. He holds postgraduate Certificates in Clinical Dentistry, Periodontics and Dental Public Health. Dr. Rams is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontics, a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and Academic Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Rams has a private practice of periodontics in Washington, DC.

Randolph Resnik, BS, DMD, MDS

Dr. Resnik received his BS from Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, PA. He received his DMD, Certificate of Prosthodontic, Certificate of Oral Implantology and MDS from the University of Pittsburgh, PA. He is a past Clinical Assistant Professor of Oral Implantology, Department of Prosthodontics, University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Resnik maintains a private practice in Pittsburgh, PA, limited to prosthodontics and implant dentistry.

Mark Setter, DDS , MS

Dr. Setter received his DDS, Periodontics Specialty Certificate and MS from the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry. He is past president of the Michigan Periodontal Association, a fellow of the International College of Dentists and a diplomat of the International Congress of Implantologists. Dr. Setter serves as a consultant to the computer industry for computer applications in dentistry and patient education software. He has been in private practice limited to periodontics and implant Surgery in Port Huron, MI since 1981.

Mohamed Sharawy, PNS, BDS, Ph.D

Dr. Sharawy received his Oral Surgery Training at Cairo University and Ph.D from the University of Rochester in New York. Dr. Sharawy is the Director of the Craniomandibular Research Group at MCG Dental Research Center and Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Professor and Director of Anatomy for Dentistry at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Sharawy is President of the Anatomical Board for the State of Georgia, Section-Editor for the Journal of Craniomandibular Practice and Co-editor of Orban's Oral Histology and Embryology, Elsevier.

Jon B. Suzuki, DDS, Ph.D, MBA

Dr. Suzuki received his BA in biology and Chemistry from Illinois Wesleyan University, his Ph.D in Microbiology from Illinois Inst. of Technology, his DDS from Loyola University and his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. He holds a Specialist status in Public Health and Medical Microbiology, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Periodontics. Dr. Suzuki is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and International College of Dentists as well as Dipolomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He has served as Dean and Director at the University of Pittsburg. Dr. Suzuki has research interest and special expertise in immunological aspects of periodontal diseases, periodontal diagnosis and classification and periodontal regeneration. At Temple University, he is the Associate Dean for Graduate Education, Research, and International Affairs, Director, Periodontics Residency Program, Professor of Microbiology (School of Medicine) and Professor of Periodontology (School of Dentistry).

Nicholas Theodotou, BDS, DDS

Dr. Theodotou received his BS from the University of Sydney and went on to the University of Missouri, Kansas City to receive his DDS, Certificate of Maxillofacial Prosthetics and Certificate of Prosthodontics. Dr. Theodotou has spent much of his career teaching; first as Clinical Instructor at the University of Sydney, Dept. of Operative Dentistry, then at the University of Missouri as Sophomore Laboratory Instructor, Clinicial Instructor - Graduate Orosthodontics, Clinical Instructor - Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics and, most recently, Clinical Instructor - Hospital Dentistry at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Theodotou has a private practice in Advanced Dental Care in Minneapolis Minnesota.

James Vito, DMD

Dr. Vito received his DMD, Certificate in Periodontics and Certificate in Periodontal-Prosthesis Fixed Prosthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a past Clinical Assistant Professor of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He is Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He maintains a private practice in Lawrenceville, NJ specializing in periodontics and implant dentistry.

Hom-Lay Wang, DDS, MDS

Dr. Wang received his Bachelor of Medicine in Dentistry at the Taipei Medical College and Master of Science in Dentistry, Certificate of Postdoctoral Study, DDS at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He is Director of Graduate Periodontics and Professor in the Department of Periodontics/Prevention/Geriatrics at the University of Michigan and Visiting Professor at the Taipei Medical University in Taiwan. Dr. Wang is a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Fellow of the American College of Dentists and International College of Dentists. He is Director of the American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Wang is a worldwide renowned lecturer and has published countless dental articles, book chapters and reviews on periodontics, bone grafting and implants.

Christopher E. Kazor, DDS, MS, PhD

Dr. Kazor was raised in Fair Haven, Michigan and received his undergraduate, Doctor of Dental Science, Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Michigan. He is married to Sandra, and has a 7 year old son, Derek.

Jennifer T. Steignenga, DDS, MS

Dr. Steigenga was raised in Ironwood, MI. She attended Michigan State University to obtain her undergraduate degree, Marquette University for her Doctor of Dental Science, and The University of Michigan for her Masters Degree in Periodontics. Dr. Steigenga is married to Matt and has two Brittany Spaniels.



Prosthetic Faculty

Glen Gittelson, DDS

Dr. Gittelson received his DDS from the Emory University School of Dentistry. He is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and a featured speaker at dental symposiums and study club meetings throughout the US. He maintains a private practice with emphasis on TMJ, occlusion and restoring implants in Merrick, NY.

John T. Green, DDS, FICD, FACD, MAGD

Dr. Green received his BS and DDS at the Ohio State University. He is a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry, a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, the American College of Dentists, the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry and the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the American Society of Equilibration. Dr. Green has been practicing dentistry in Dayton, OH for 30 years, with emphasis on implants, and restorative procedures.

Ray Hazen, DDS, MDS

Dr. Hazen received his DDS, Certificate of Prosthodontics and MDS from Indiana University. He is a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry and a fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He maintains a private practice limited to prosthodontics and implant dentistry in Rochester, IN.

Randolph Resnik, BS, DMD, MDS

Dr. Resnik received his BS from Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, PA. He received his DMD, Prosthodontic Specialty Certificate, Oral Implantology Certificate and Master's Degree from the University of Pittsburgh, PA. He is a past Clinical Assistant Professor of Oral Implantology, Department of Prosthodontics, University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Resnik maintains a private practice in Pittsburgh, PA, limited to prosthodontics and implant dentistry.

Tom Dabrowsky, LDT, RDT

Mr. Dabrowski graduated in 1985 from Medical Professional College in Wroclaw, Poland as a Dental Technician. He received his registered master dental technician certificate in Toronto, Canada. Since then, Mr. Dabrowski has moved to the United States where he has co-owned a successful dental laboratory specializing in implants and ceramics. He is a Fellow of the International Prosthetic Society.

Beatrice Dabrowsky, LDT, RDT

Mrs. Dabrowski graduated from Medical Professional College in Wroclaw, Poland as a Dental Technician in 1986. She owned and operated a private lab in Poland, relocated to Toronto, Canada where she received her registered dental technician certificate in 1997. Mrs. Dabrowski then moved to the United States where she has co-owned a successful dental laboratory specializing in implants and ceramics. She is a Fellow of the International Prosthetic Society.

Mark G. Marinbach

Mr. Marinbach is the president of Nu-Life Long Island, a dental laboratory in NY. With 35 years of experience in dental implants, Mr. Marinbach is active in the Academy of Osseointegration, a fellow and master in the International Association of Dental Implant Technicians and International Congress of Implantologists, a master and past president of the American Association of Implant Prosthodontists.

Nemer Hussien, LDT, RDT

Graduated from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI and has worked with Dr. Misch for the past 20 years, specializing in removable implant prosthetics. He is a Fellow of the International Prosthetic Society.
